"Don't care just don't break anything," Fayte could hear Leon's response to Striker's question. She attempted to kick it into high gear, trying to get away from the two. This couldn't be happening, this just couldn't be happening. She needed to get out of here, away from here. Find someplace safe, and away-her thoughts were interrupted as she was tackled down by Striker.
"No, get away from mee!" she cried, absolutely terrified. Nearby was an old telephone post, she did not see, but Leon was able to see it suddenly begin leaning forward over them with the wires that connected it to the others snapping. It was bending an slightly odd shape, likely threatening to just snap into two at any moment.. A blazing fire ball appeared in his hand as he pitched it at the post. The ball struck the post and sent it flying slightly away from the two, no longer threatening to fall on top of them and possibly crush their backs. Splinters flew into the air as the wooden post crashed into the ground and snapped into two at the charred marks of the fire ball.
"What was that?" Leon asked with surprise, catching up with the two younger ones.
Faye was shivering, her parents were dead, she had nowhere to go, she was forced to live in an extremely violent town with extremely violent people. This was too much for her. She couldn't handle this kind of stress. She did not see the fire ball coming from Leon, and was too focused on trying to struggle free, it was difficult to notice, but small pebbles around them were shaking ever so slightly before a small pea-sized one shot from its position to whack Striker right in the forehead

Striker ran at his top speed easily overtaking Leon and then catching up with Fayte. He leaped and tackled, but rolled a little so she’d land on her side rather than face planting into the concrete. He then got ontop of her to hold her down as she struggled to get him off. "No, get away from me!" She cried out terrified.
“Listen, I’m not going to hurt you.” Striker told her trying to make eye contact with her. “I just want to explain-“ Striker stopped when he heard the commotion above him and looked up. The telephone pole was about to fall right ontop of them. Striker was about to move them out of the way when a fire ball was shot from Leon to cause the pole to break off the other way. With his breath caught in his throat at the near death experience he turned back to see if Fayte was okay. Suddenly a pebble smacked him in the forehead.
“Ow! What the heck?” Striker wondered out loud. “Are you okay?” Striker asked Fayte ignoring the stone. He didn’t think much of it figuring it was some debree from the falling telephone pole or something. He was checking over Fayte to make sure he hadn’t hurt her when he tackled her down. He was used to tackling people on his team down, who could take a hit and get up and keep running. This girl hadn’t been training with him though and he worried he’d been too rough. He was sure he hadn’t broke anything, just like Leon had instructed, but at the same time, the impact might have left some bruises. Striker wasn’t too concern. She didn’t seem to be bleeding, so he registered her as perfectly fine in his mind. Bruises could be healed.
“Look, uh, I know you’re scared and everything, but trust me when I say we’re not bad people.” Striker tried to reason with the girl. “Yes, we might rob a store or two, but we’ve never killed anyone.” At least Striker hoped Leon had never killed anyone. If he had, it was best to keep his trap shut about it for a moment until he could calm the girl down. “We’re not going to hurt or kill you either. Okay?”

Uh...yeah...not killed anyone. Sure. At least it wasn't on purpose though. Leon's flames were a dangerous thing, he had definitely killed a person or two in his younger days, though it was not on purpose! There was that time with the farm from when he was younger...and the dynamite...and that crash with the oil tanker. Fire is dangerous kids, don't go near it. Leon has never really had to kill anyone himself, usually his team took care of it. He always pressed the ideal to only kill when your own life was on the line, but once the group got a bit too big it was hard to keep track of who was doing what.
Striker was speaking to the girl, attempting to calm her down. Leon would have offered to help them up, but the whole physically able to burn someone thing about him kind of prevented him. It used to make him feel bad about it when he was younger, but he had gotten used to it by now. There was no helping it, unless he were to soak his hand before he did so.
"Look, your father was a criminal and so am I and all, but like he said, i'm not going to hurt you. Unless you touch me, but I can't exactly help that,"[/font] he spoke, "If you go to the cops and explain the situation, they're probably going to just arrest you and bring you in for questioning. You'll probably end up going to juvie instead of somewhere else," he explained to the girl.
He wondered what the hell that strange post falling had been all about, but he prioritized the girl first. He figured that the ground near it had just been weak or something, though the timing was incredible.

Fayte scooted away from Striker so that they were not so close, they were both trying to convey that they would not hurt her, and that they had not even killed before. Though Fayte noticed a slight bit of hesitation on Leon's part when Striker mentioned the dying thing, she decided to believe them, at least for now. She was still scared, and Leon's words only helped her realize how hopeless her situation was. She had no choice but to live with them.
She looked sheepishly back at the pole, "So...how did that happen by the way?" she decided to ask after nodding and showing she finally understood they were not going to kill her in her sleep.
She looked back to the tw-why was Leon smirking? The thought of Leon smirking the way he did created a pit of dread in her stomach. What was he about to do?
"Well," he spoke, "I don't know how it fell, but it missed you because of this!" he held out his hand before it suddenly burst into flames.
Fayte shrieked in surprise, "Your hand is on fire!" she exclaimed.
"I know! Cool trick huh?" he spoke as if he were proud of it.
Fayte's jaw had dropped as her brow furrowed in utter confusion. He wasn't in pain. Did he have some kind of oil on it? No it should have run out eventually right? How could he have thrown the fire for it to cause an impact to knock away the post? Faye was lost for words, she just could not figure out a logical reasoning for this. She looked to Striker, expecting an explanation since Leon didn't seem to be giving one.

Striker was glad the soothing words seemed to be working. She seemed to be calming down somewhat or at least trying to trust them. Leon then showed her the fire trick and of course her panic rose right back up. He didn't blame her, he still felt a little panicked about it considering he didn't know exactly how it happened and had only really been told about it from Reiner and his team. Still he was more prepared than Fayte and so was calmer when he set his hand on fire. Fayte looked to him to explain.
"Uh...I don't really know how to explain that." He motioned to Leon's hand. "Or that." He said after looking to the pole. "Or any of it really." He shrugged. "But if I'm attempting, I'm going to say Leon's some kind of alien with fire power and the pole was probably weak and on faulty ground or something? I don't really know, kid." Striker shrugged again.
He then got up and offered a hand to help Fayte up. "Come on. Let's go back to Leon's junkyard and sit down and actually talk about all this. I'm sure we could get some explanations out somewhere." He said encouragingly. He hoped the girl would accept his offer and not try to run again. They didn't need her getting away and running off to the police. That wouldn't be very good for either of them.

"Heeey I was born on Earth too!" Leon whined, though he seemed to be playing more than actually offended by it. She got up on her own however, still not quite trusting of the criminals but figuring she had no choice. Who was this guy calling 'kid' anyways? He wasn't much older than her! She dusted off her pants and gave one last glance back at the post. Should they really leave it there? What if someone tried to drive over it? However Leon was already walking, and she figured that she did not quite have the choice for it.
So Leon would not explain the combusting hand, and Striker did not know either. Wonderful. The pole logic seemed reasonable enough. The pebbles around her had ceased their jittery nature, and returned to being normal rocks. She took deep breaths in order to keep herself calm. She reminded herself that she knew her self defense, she could defend herself. However Leon had that strange fire ability, and looked like he could overpower her easily if needed. She swept her head of the thoughts, she needed to be positive. Look for some way to get out of here once she figured out what to do once she was able to leave.
Once they had reached the junkyard, the two young boys were behind an old refrigerator staring at her and Striker, but mostly her she noticed. What were they, a pack of wolves?
"Thanks for bringing her here by the way Striker," Leon spoke, causing Fayte to jump a bit at the sudden voice. She was still on edge, she was still cautious.

Striker heard Leon complain that he was from Earth and merely shot him a smirk to show he was only messing with him but it was clear from Leon's tone that Leon knew that anyway. Then they begun to head back to the junkyard. Striker too his pace behind Fayte incase she were to try to run again, so he could see it. But she didn't and they all made it back to the junkyard just fine, thankfully. Leon thanked him.
"No problem." Striker assured him. "But I do have to be getting back. I was only supposed to be on a short walk." Striker told Leon. "Nice meeting you." He nodded to Fayte. "And I'll keep in touch with you if anything else happens, Leon." Striker assured him before waving bye to the twins behind the fridge and turning to go.
Striker walked slowly away in case Leon wanted something else, he'd be able to stop him. Striker didn't want to be rude, but he also knew his team would start to question where he went if he didn't get back. He knew that there would have to be lots of explaining done with Fayte and he didn't really think he needed to be a part of it. He didn't know how to explain Leon's life and so he really served no use in staying. But should Leon call out to him, he'd turn around and stay. Leon was a friend of Strike Out and he would help if Leon desired his help.
