Reiner furrowed his eyebrow in intense focus. His muscles in his arm bulged at the force he was using against the other man. His other hand clung tightly to the table like the room was about to go capsize any moment and the bolted down table would be the only thing to keep him for falling out of the room into a strange oblivion of defeat. A bead of sweat begin to form just above his temple, but Reiner kept his focus skillfully trained on the two arms locked together in a battle of strength and endurance. Endurance maybe how Reiner was going to have to win this match as well because it seemed the older gentleman was just as strong if not just a little stronger than Reiner himself. He could feel the other man's arm begin to shake slightly. He was weakening him by forcing the man to push all his strain just to maintain balance. Just a little further, Reiner told himself. If the man's arm became too weak from the lack of endurance, Reiner could push through and overpower him. Thank you, Striker for such intense work outs. Reiner found himself mentally praising his leader. But it was true none the less. If Striker hadn't pushed Reiner day after day so hard to keep endurance even in the most fatigued state, then he was sure he would've lost his ten dollars almost a whole minute ago.
The scale begin to tip in Reiner's favor as the other's man's arm was slowly being pushed down toward victory. He could feel the extra strain from the man trying to tighten his bone crunching grip to fight back. The crowd watched anxiously as Reiner sucked in a breath and pushed as much strength as he could manage into the finally few seconds. Within a few seconds there was a 'Thud!' of the opponent's arm hitting the table. Reiner released him with a smirk shaking out his tense muscles. The man grumbled and forfeited the ten dollars over to Reiner. Reiner got up saluting the man as another person took his place and then walked over to the counter to use his earning for a small treat. He knew he couldn't get plum drunk tonight as there was an rather intense training coming up tomorrow to prepare for their next mission, but Reiner figured something light wouldn't hurt.
"Corona Light, my dear." Reiner said holding out the money. The bar tender came over in her skimpy attire and smirked at him.
"Striker got something planned? Or are you still recovering from the last hang over you had here?" She teased taking his money and going to the register.
"Got a new mission of course. You know a bad hang over couldn't cure my alcoholic appetite." Reiner shot back.
"What's the mission?" The woman asked leaning over the counter in a rather seductive way to hand Reiner his change back and then offered the beer. Reiner tried to keep his eyes from moving down her as he took it back, not wanting to give the girl the wrong impression. He wasn't here for that.
"Just another theft. Should be easy enough." Reiner shrugged popping open the cap and taking his money back. She stood back up with a smirk, clearly sensing Reiner's restraint at looking at her.
"Well, I'll be in the back if you need anything else tonight." She said with a wink and then walked over to another customer.
Weeew, she's probably paid real good around here. Reiner found himself thinking. He sipped on his beer and turned his back to the counter so he could look over the bar.
Reiner had been coming to the criminal bar for quite some time now. It had looked just about the same since the day it opened. There were bolted down tables with useless wooden chairs in sets of about six around each rounded table. There were of course more private booths off to the side that most deals were made in. There were the bathrooms to the right, which you could catch whiffs of smoke every now and then from, and then private rooms off to the left for other sorts of business. Reiner was currently seated at the counter with bolted down stools. Many people took sanctuary in this place, even some of the worst crooked cops out there came down below to hang out. Reiner knew which one of them were cops from the look and from the fact that he had to deal with them so often.
Sipping on his beer, Reiner moved from the counter to an empty table and pulled out some cards. He begun to shuffle wondering if anyone would come join him for a round of poker or not. He wasn't great at the game, but he was learning how to do it, and beside, he had enough money to bet with for at least two or three rounds.

Charles walked into the bar and took a look around, he recognized several faces as he scanned the room. He saw Reiner sitting at a table preparing to play cards. Charles walked right passed Reiner but raised one finger up at him to signal that he would be there in a moment.
He walked up to the bar saw the scantly clad bartender. "Blue Moon White, deary. Actually make that two." She smiled as she walked over with a sultry stride. Charles eyed her up and down as she approached. He handed her the money. When she took the money, she bent over just enough so her cleavage would really pop out. Without a second thought Charles' eyes darted down to catch a quick glimpse. She stood back up straight and handed him his change and the two beers. "Thanks, babe" he said with a wink.
He turned around to see Reiner still waiting at the table so he walked over and sat down. "Texas hold 'em?"

Reiner was immediately pleased when he spotted Charles come into the bar and give him a signal that he'd be right over. Reiner shuffled the cards preparing for the game. He took a long sip of his beer and waited until Charles slide over into the seat across him.
"Texas hold 'em?" Charles asked. Reiner immediately went to shuffle a last time before dealing the cards.
"The city treating you right?" Reiner asked looking over his cards. Not much in his favor, but he might could work with them. Reiner only vaguely knew of Charles. He'd heard of him from others and the Strike Out team had worked under him once. Reiner wasn't sure what Charles did a living, nor was he too curious. Criminal code to stay out of one another's business unless you're looking for trouble. Still, Reiner enjoyed Charles company none the less being that Charles had opted to play cards with him.

"The city treating you right?" Reiner asked. Charles looked at his cards. They were decent, nothing to complain about. "Man when is this city treating anybody right? This is about the only place I can go where I dont have kill to get a decent drink." Charles replied as he took a sip of his beer. "How's this city treating you? Work any interesting jobs recently?"
Charles began to sweat nervously as he saw a spider slowly inching down from the ceiling onto Reiner's shoulder. Charles takes another sip from his beer to calm his nerves. He peeks down at his cards one last time before he looked back up at Reiner.

"Man, when is this city treating anybody right? This is about the only place I can go where I don't have kill to get a decent drink." Charles replied. Reiner nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I would love to see the reaction of me walking into a citizen bar. I wonder if they would all call the cops or just run." Reiner mused.
"How's this city treating you? Work any interesting jobs recently?" Charles asked.
"Oh yeah. A couple. You wouldn't believe the hell Dean caused as a distraction." Reiner replied. He then felt something tickling his shoulder. Reiner looked over and saw a spider and flicked it off of him without a second thought. The spider fell from his shoulder onto the table and started scurrying over to Charles.
"He literally created an explosion that took out a part of a building just to make the guards chase him." Reiner laughed.

The spider scurried up towards Charles. Charles jumped up and began dancing around the table trying to stomp on the spider but failed repeatedly. Finally Charles panicked when the spider somehow got on his shoe. He danced around trying to take off his shoe with his other foot until eventually both shoes were off. After all the excitement Charles fainted and the spider crawled onto his face.

Reiner blinked. The whole bar was silent as they stared over at Charles who was now on the ground unconscious. What the hell had just happened? Charles clearly was afraid of spiders, Reiner reasoned. But fainting from a spider. Not even Doniel did that even though Doniel would climb ontop of things to avoid the spider.
"What the hell you do to him, Reiner?" Reese, a guy that came to the bar often, called out. Reiner just shrugged in response, not sure if he should give away the panic attack over a spider.
"Just had a spaz attack and fainted. Maybe he's on something." Reiner replied with a half hearted laugh. The attention gradually came off of them and Reiner took a finally sip of his beer before dumping the rest on Charles face to wake him up. "Come on, man, get up."

Charles wakes up to a beer being dumped of his face. "What the hell man! Don't ruin my suit!" Charles says as he stands back up to his feet and sits down back at the table. "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap." Charles leans in close and whispers, "I just really hate spiders, like you don't even know man." Charles takes a deep breath and takes a sip from his beer. Charles is still anxious about the spider but notices it squirming on the ground in a puddle of beer. He stomps on it and grinds his shoe to ensure death.
"So, whats everybody looking it? Get back to it! Nothing to see here." Charles says as he looks at the bar of people looking at him. Everybody quickly goes back to what ever they were doing. He looks to Reiner once again.
"Hey do you still want to play some cards or would you rather shoot some pool?" Charles asks curiously.
