Weaknesses: While nearly indestructible from physical harm, Katelyn has poor defense against a number of abilities such as magic, psionic powers, elementals and also certain types of weaponized technology. If her heart or brain are completely destroyed, she will die.

History: Katelyn Dimeo was born in Northern New Jersey on May 28th, 1998, to a Mafia soldier called Edward Dimeo and his then mistress, Katheryn Malone who died a few short months later, hit by a drunk driver. Katelyn spent the first ten years of her childhood living with her father and his family, much to the distaste of Edward's wife Janice, who hated Katelyn for Edward's cheating and would mostly ignore the young girl's existance on the best of days. Katelyn did have the love of her father and half-siblings Adrianna (two months older than Katelyn), Vincent (three years older), and Benny (one year younger), which kept her happy enough despite the loathing of Janice.
On March 16th, 2009, tragedy yet again befell young Katelyn and the other members of the Dimeo family when Edward, now a Capo in the mafia family, along with three others in the crew he ran were 'whacked' by a rival family during a sitdown gone wrong. Katelyn was devastated, and it got worse when Janice banned her from attending the funeral, informing the twelve year old that she would be leaving the only home she'd ever known as soon as Janice could make arrangements for Katelyn to be put in foster care. Luckily for Katelyn, Edward's best friend and replacement crew captain, Nic Pirelli 'adopted' her, fully aware that Edward would not want any of his children ending up in the 'care' of the government. Katelyn was inconsolable the first few weeks, not completely understanding why she couldn't remain with her half-siblings, or exactly why Janice hated her so much. Not wanting to lie to the young girl, as he was trying to gain her trust and do right for her in Edward's memory, Nic explained to her the truth of the circumstances of Katelyn's birth. It took some time for her young mind to understand fully, but she was accepting of things after a year or so.
She continued to be allowed access to her siblings despite Janice's best efforts to keep them apart, as there was little the spiteful woman could do to seperate them, especially Katelyn and Adrianna, as they attended the same school. Despite the lies Janice told her children about Katelyn and that she was a bastard child that would lead the rest of them to ruin, none of them took her with much seriousness especially after been witnesses to Janice's cruel treatment of Katelyn growing up. If anything the death of their shared father only served to further bond the four together as a family.
Just before the start of Summer 2015 (and just a couple weeks prior to Katelyn's 17th birthday), as a result of a growing number of incidents between the Costello (of which Pirelli remained a member of) and Deluigi families, several children of ranking members of the Costello family were targeted for abduction and execution following the murder of the DeLuigi underboss Anthony Cincetta. Seven were taken, including Katelyn and her younger half-brother Benny, and were brought out to an abandoned hunting lodge deep in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey by several DeLuigi soldiers and associates. Two of the children, a boy and a girl several years younger than the then fifteen year old Katelyn were killed shortly after arrival when their captors were unable to keep them silent, and had grown tired of the noise and crying. Katelyn was enraged at the unneccesary deaths and would have definitely attacked the gunman if she didn't have to worry about Benny's safety, not wanting to leave him alone by getting herself killed.
The Costellos had a mole inside the DeLuigi family, who gave up the location of the missing children in exchange for assured protection and membership into the Costello's crime family. Nic and ten others led an assault on the hunting lodge, hoping to liberate whoever was still alive. An intense shoot out occurred between the two sides, and when it became clear that the DeLuigi men were doomed, one was sent down to the basement with a glock to ensure that neither side went home happy. It was only due to Katelyn's actions that any of the remaining five children walked out of the lodge that day. When the gunman had entered the room, she had immediately known what he was there for, as all of them had heard the sound of gunfire from their holding 'cell'. She burst into action, ripping a pipe from the wall as he reloaded his gun, and bludgeoned him to death with it despite having her hands bound with zipties, which she somehow managed to break as they fled the dead man following her bloody attack. Grabbing the gun, she quickly led Benny and the others out, only having to fire once as they were intercepted by a second DeLuigi man as they came out of the basement stairwell. Her aim was spot on, catching the man in the center of the chest at close range and splattering herself with blood.
The second man squeezed off a shot as he fell dying, and the bullet flew at Katelyn. Then something happened that would forever change the teenager's life, as when the bullet slammed into her chest and passed through her back as she fell, Katelyn found herself spared death as her wound rapidly healed up to the point that despite the blood no one would have known she'd been shot in the first place.
It was quickly assumed what had happened with Katelyn's 'miracle' healing as several of the men present had encountered mutants in the past during the course of doing business, but they agreed that it would be kept silent for her safety by most of those involved. For the first couple days following , Katelyn was in a state of shock and when she snapped out of it, the mostly-happy girl she'd been was gone, replaced by a moody outcast with a growing penchant for violence. Still, she remained loyal and amicably with her half-siblings and most of her friends, but no longer would she bear any personal insult or attempt slash threat of physical attack upon herself from her fellow classmates.
Several months later the feds swooped down on the Costello family, and out of fear of being arrested for being a mutant, Katelyn ran and is about to find herself thrown headfirst into the world of weird and empowered as she arrives in Panic City.

Especially with Michael, who was probably the one who'd been the most affected by her deception. She hoped beyond measure that she could make amends with the were-tiger, and her other friends. If they'd even be willing to hear her out.
She let out a tired sigh as she pulled the motorcycle to a stop on the corner a little ways off from the Bronze, where she'd been employed about eight months prior before falling off the map when Michael had caught her in the act of killing that member of S.C.R.A.
He had tried to get her to turn herself in, but given everything that the organization had done to her and had made her do, she couldn't let it rest. He didn't understand, and she could admit to herself that maybe if she'd been honest from the start she could've had a chance to explain things properly.
Instead she'd come off as a murderous psychopath, and fled. Michael and anyone else he'd told about what went down more than likely would shoot her on sight, she just hoped it would be to injure or subdue rather than kill.
It wasn't the best idea, but so many lives depended on her being able to convince them of the danger that S.C.R.A. posed in both the present and future.
Kasey let out a sigh and looked down the street at the Bronze, watching the entrance for a few moments, trying to see if she could recognize anyone going in or coming out from where she sat straddling her Yahama about a hundred yards away.
A few minutes pass and she decides to take a closer look, so she steps lightly on the gas and rolls around the corner, then drives until she's only a couple dozen yards from the entry, pulling to a stop on the opposite side of the road.
She'd had a car last time she was in town, so wouldn't have to worry about any of her old friends recognizing her ride, so she ditched it for the time being to duck into an alley between two of the buildings across from the nightclub, and using her abilities launches herself onto the fire escape.
Quickly she makes her way to the roof, and steps up to the edge to peer over the side to continue watching the entrance without having to worry about being spotted. She would make her return known, but it wasn't yet the right time.
As her head popped up over the small wall at the edge of the roof, an upwind blows and she catches his scent, smiling slightly at the better memories of the time she spent with the were-tiger.
He was down there, somewhere.
